Intel processors

Hello. Now I will talk a little about Intel processors. Intel has 3 main types of processors: Workstation, mainstream, and mobile. the mobile processor's is the Atom series, the workstation processor's is the Xeon series, and the mainstream processor's is Ivy Bridge. Ivy Bridge processor's are the fourth generation in their Core i micro-architecture. First gen. was Nehalem, second gen. was Westmere, and third gen. was Sandy Bridge. Haswell, which releases this year, is going to be the fifth generation in the core i micro-architecture. It will be built on 14nm process compared to the 22nm process of Ivy bridge. Atom, the mobile line of processors, is in many mobile devices including the Chromebook. It is currently built on a 32nm process. Intel Xeon processors are processors for use in servers. There are no Ivy bridge based Xeon processors. Ivy bridge based Xeon processors are said to release this year.

Tomorrow I will talk about Nvidia graphics cards. Keep reading!
